Just to be clear:

by Rusty

Fsck FoxNews, and Fsck George W. Bush and Co.

(I’m not really an angry person - this just needs to be said.)

*edit - I apologize for bashing the religious right - I try not to poke at religion too often.

Wow! How rude, what ever happened to patriotism. And respect for our president. Did you know Iran has waged war against us, a proxy war none the less but still a war, they are trying to kick us out of Iran and out of Afghanistan, where I personally know things are so much better since we freed them? I have personal friends there and they are building a government of the people by the people and for the people. Iran wants to do the same thing. Your comments are ill minored and ill placed. You are one of those who would rather keep the blinders on to what is happening in the world, and pretend everything is ok. Just because you would turn our backs on it doesn’t mean it is ok. I say hurray for Fox News, and hurray for President Bush and God Bless the USA. If you don’t like it leave it.

    Thank you for your comment!

I love America. I have no allusion that everything is ok. That’s the problem. Everything is NOT ok in the world, due in large part to our greedy politicians (on both sides). Right now, we are in a war we cannot win, and are extending ourselves WAY too thin. I am all for democracy and human rights around the world, but the way this administration is handling this situation makes me want to cry sometimes.

I do know there are some in the military and the government that actually are making some progress out of this quagmire. I do respect those who would defend our constitution. But look at what our “president” is doing to our own civil rights at home!

I agree that we are at war. We are at war with an enemy that kills with a pen, and stomps out the rights we say are so important, yet are being lessened and lessened as the state of fear grows and grows.

We need a change. We as a people are seeing what is really happening in the world, not just what the news pushes out to us (fear, fear, fear…). We are starting to see that this person sitting in the whitehouse is nothing but a figurehead of the irrational fear mongers.

We will see a big change in the way this country is run very soon - sooner than ‘08 i feel…

And yes, If our sitting president declares himself a dictator in the name of all that is good and right for us, I will sadly leave this country of freedom(?).

Thank you for your post, however, this is probably not the place for your warning. I can understand the frustration dealing with slumlords, and will leave your post for the immediate future.

    Best of luck to you!

The main stream media is bias, there is more good going on in Iraq then they post, they are bias against anyone who is not a Democrat. History will show Bush did the right thing and you better watch out if we do leave Iraq. Don’t send your children out on the subway or to the Mall they love so much. We will be fighting War right here on our own soil. And they don’t care to kill the older they want to kill the young, the next generation of Americans

    Doug-

I am sure that we are doing some good in Iraq. The unfortunate truth is that we have killed many thousands of Iraqi civilians in our quest for their democracy.

I do not doubt that there are many, many groups of bad people out to do our country harm. I also believe that by invading Iraq, we have created many more of them.

I agree that we cannot just leave Iraq in it’s current state. We are in one heck of a mess right now, and we have to start working together as one people, worldwide, to give the power back to the Iraqi people.

I will not live my life in fear! Fear is a tool that is being used to control - but YOU are the only person in control of your life. Don’t let the media keep you scared at home - scared to go out to the malls or the subway or the parks. Fear is irrational.

Thank you again for your comments - I will be away from my computer soon, and might not be as quick to respond. I do appreciate your passion for what you are saying - I will seek out some news of the good that is being done in Iraq and other places and focus on that.

    Take care-

    Rusty,
Kudos to you, I agree with every word you wrote, the only thing missing is that we as Americans need to pull together as one nation, there are those who enjoy seeing us as a nation divided. Let’s do as our founding fathers intended in war time, and stand behind our president. He has the most difficult job the world offers, he leads the free world.
Put that in your own back pack and carry it around for a while. It is not all glory, it is a tough job and whom ever is in that office will have my respect and my support unless of course they are obviously trying to tear this nation apart.
Thanks again Rusty, you will find the stories you are looking for, you just won’t find them on ABC, CBS or NBC.

Thank you - I totally agree that we need to pull together as one nation. We are so divided these days - we could accomplish so much if we just let go and realize that we are one people.

Thank you again so much for your comments - Stay true to what you believe!!

    Take care-
    Rusty
