07-12-2006 Site Update
Pruning:
I have thinned out our community by over 300 accounts (no active accounts were deleted, just unused accounts more than 2 months old). I am still in the process of cleaning up, and will re-open weblog creation when this is complete.
State of the blogg:
So far this site has been running well, with a few minor bugs as of yet to be worked out. I will plan a sitewide upgrade in the near future (downtime should be less than a few hours - more on that at a later time).
Site Search:
I have had a Google Site Search on the homepage, and it does not seem to be finding what it should be, So I have added a Yahoo Site Search. Both searches are now there. Please try them out, and shoot me some feedback if you want!
Comments:
I have been getting quite a bit of comment spam lately, and because of that I have banned a few more IPs. I cannot monitor each users weblog for comment spam, but if you are getting spammed, please let me know, and I will do what I can to block it.
Thoughts:
I believe that this site is our site. I would like to implement features that will tie us together (if we want…). I am not quite sure on how to do this, but I do know that slow and steady will be my mantra while I contemplate this. I don’t want to just start installing add-ins willy-nilly. Any suggestions are always welcome, either as a comment to this post, or an email to me (rusty AT blogg DOT com).
