01-30-2006 Site Update
It’s my fault! I was attempting to correct a few small issues I was having with some of the admin functions, and seemed to knock the whole site down… As homer would say- Doh!!!

It looks like all of the users here had their blogs suspended for a period this evening. I believe that I have corrected this for all users who have actually logged in to modify thier blog. If I missed anybody, email me! Thanks!

The issue was more widespread than I realized initially. All users had been suspended, and I am having to manually edit each user to restore all rights. At first, I was restoring rights to users that use their blogs, and now am playing catch up to restore all of them. If I don’t get to you fast enough, email me and I will make it a priority!

Ideas / Feedback
We have been up and running with the new site for about 2 and a half weeks now, and for the most part things seem to be running well. I am open to any ideas for enhancements or add-ins that you all might want (a language translator?). I want this site to be of and for the community, and I need your feedback to do so!

01-23-2006 Site Update
I recently added a “latest blog posts” feed to the Dashboard. This should be pulling the last 15-20 user posts, however it looks like we still have somewhat of a duplication issue. I’ll let it run for a while to see how it works out. If anyone has any problems with load times, please email me (rusty AT blogg DOT com) or just leave a comment on this post!

Recently Updated Blogs
There is (and has been for a day or so) a list of the 11 most recently updated weblogs on the frontpage of this site. I can understand that some users will want a semi-private* weblog, and do not want a direct link to their weblog on the main page of this site every time they make an update. If any user would like their blog excluded from this list, you can email me (webmaster AT blogg DOT com) and I will add your weblog to the list of exclusions.
* I say semi-private because password protecting posts does not work at this time, nor is there a function to password-protect an entire weblog that I know of, and someone could potentially stumble onto your weblog through a search engine.
01-11-2006 Site Update
Blogg.com has been running on WordPress for a little over 4 days now. As of this post, we have 76 registered users! I have gotten NO feedback so far (good or bad), so I will assume that everyone is happy for the most part. If there are any issues or comments or requests for more features, you can email me anytime at: webmaster AT blogg DOT com
It does look like there are quite a few accounts that have been created that have never been updated. I understand that sometimes it takes a while to get started, but at some point there will be an automatic account deletion for those who have NEVER updated their accounts after a set period of time (2-4 weeks should be enough time).
The only major issue I am aware of is the password protecting feature of posts. I have not had much time to look at this, but I am sure that it is fixable. I will put it on my to-do list for the weekend.
